Apple's app "gay-cura" severely slapped - registration

Apple is now accused of discrimination anti-gay, following the launch of an iPhone app that aims to help people find the "freedom from homosexuality".

A petition has been launched by the truth WINS A, which describes itself as an organization non-profit that fights against religious extremism anti-gay on the Web site of change.org, asking Steve Jobs to step in to remove the application. The implementation is the work of the Exodus International Ministry.

In a letter to those who support his request sign up to receive, they write: "Apple has been a friend of the LGBT community, opposing proposition 8 California, eliminating the Manhattan Declaration anti-gay on your iPhone and get a score of 100% of the human rights campaign corporate equality index."

"I am surprised that this same company has given the green light to an application from an organization anti-gay notoriously as Exodus International using intimidating tactics, disinformation, stereotypes and distortions of LGBT life to recruit clients, supports the use of so-called 'reparative therapy' to change the sexual orientation of their customers."

According to two, "reparative therapy" has been condemned by every major professional medical organization. The petition released last week and has already attracted over 17,000 signatures: However, as the word spreads of app, the rate at which individuals are signing up seems to be the snowballing.

Exodus International claims to be "Ministry in the world to individuals and families affected by homosexuality". On his site, exodus States that "defends heterosexuality as creative intention of God for humanity and subsequently considered expression gay as outside the will of God".

Its new smartphone application was released last week and is "now available on iTunes". According to exodus, this application has received a rating of 4 + Apple and "applications in this category do not contain any objectionable material". They conclude: "this application is designed to be a useful resource for men, women, parents, students and leaders of the Ministry".

TWO are left to impress. Describing the app as "unacceptable" and request its immediate removal, warn Apple: "your company never allow an application to the sale on the iTunes store and for good reason racist or anti-Semitic." "Apple's adoption of the PPP of Exodus International anti-gay is a double standard for the LGBT community with consequences potentially devastating for our youth."

We asked Apple if you are going to take any action of this application, but so far they have not received a reply.

Unfortunately for Apple, you can shortly have to choose between offending his Christian base and its base of homosexual. Both have great purchasing power, and we suspect that this is an issue rather just went away.

However, when faced with a similar problem last November, when an application is created around the Declaration of Manhattan that is hostile to gay marriage, Apple broke down on the side of rights same-sex and removed the app. ®
